B. Matrices

1. Introduction

This chapter introduces basic concepts of matrices; definitions and mathematical operations. It barely scratches the surface of matrices - nomenclature and operations are kept simple. This chapter  is intended to provide sufficient background for later chapters on simultaneous equation solution and least squares adjustment.
